Eleanor has always had art in her heart, but somewhere along the way, she took a detour and worked in the exacting profession of accounting. Pure curiosity and a relentless passion to grow her artistic side sent her back to university to study interior design. Graduating from VCU is still one of her proudest moments- it was a twisting journey of 27 years. She has enjoyed giving back to her Alma Mater by sharing her business and design experience as an adjunct instructor. For the last decade, she has been leading a talented group of award winning interior designers at Glave & Holmes Architecture, who specialize in Higher Education, Hospitality, Cultural and Residential projects.
Eleanor starts each day with a cup of tea and a smile on her face knowing that she is making a positive impact on people’s lives through a well-executed space that is functional and beautiful. She is a passionate believer that we all have super design powers to share that can make this a better place for all. The most rewarding lesson she has learned on her design journey is that, “The work will teach you how to do it.” And Eleanor enjoys the fact that she is still learning something new every day.
