A highly motivated designer and artist, Katie is an Interior Designer at HDR's Richmond, Virginia, office, specializing in healthcare design. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019 with a BFA in Interior Design and a BFA in Painting and Printmaking, and often draws on her background in art and painting to curate meaningful, human-centered environments for large-scale healthcare facilities. As a design professional who leads by listening, she develops solutions driven by community engagement. In addition to her experience in healthcare design, her design experience spans retail, corporate, federal, science, and community sectors.

In her free time, Katie loves spending time with her husband, Ryan, and their Carolina dog, Tobi. She often spends her time exploring new restaurants and small businesses in Richmond. As an artist, Katie continues to create oil paintings focused on nature and night scenes.
